Growing up in a creative family in New York city was the perfect environment for Jim Walsh who now paints as J. Charles. "My family appreciates art and they encouraged me to follow my passion for drawing and painting."

Following a stint in the US Navy he felt the need to wander and hitch-hiked across the country and settled in California…for awhile. From there he moved back east to Montreal, Canada, and eventually traveled out to Alberta where he apprenticed as a sign painter and eventually open his own sign company. Colleen Sarah is inspired by many things around her; the beauty of objects that are hand-made and imperfect, the patina of objects that have been worn by the passage of time, the contrast of realistically rendered images and abstract backgrounds, color and light and most importantly the beauty in nature. "I hope my art inspires the viewer and reminds them of the beauty that is around us. I love to experiment and try new techniques; my goal is to find a fresh approach to painting everyday objects."

It was while traveling to Japan that Colleen was struck by the design of the beautiful gardens that surrounded her. She was amazed by how the Japanese use space in the garden...

Born on Halloween into a large Irish family, Jennifer Garant began painting when she realized she couldn't get a word in edgewise. She quickly learned to convey her individuality through art, and she now creates wonderful imagery that is instantly recognizable as her own. Her colorful images and stylized characters are often whimsical in subject, delighting viewers with their humorous content.

Other than a couple of brief stints at art school in Calgary and San Francisco, Jennifer is basically self taught, managing to find full-time employment as an artist over the past 15 years. Her work is currently represented in fine galleries across Canada, the United States, Australia ...
