In her recent work artist Jeanne Wassenaar is exploring the decorative elements of various familiar traditions and cultures, as well as her own, past and present and translated them onto canvas. Her work is mostly about experiences and experiencing, and the process of creating an image; a free exchange where the unconscious can react to what her consciousness perceives so that the image emerges as it wants and needs to. Growing up in farm country Pennsylvania, Edith Lentz started her art career in graphic design. Her experience in creating bold, graphic layouts for commercial projects provided a formula that she uses to tackle each art piece. Combining organic and geometric elements, cool with warm color palettes, as well as painterly and graphic elements, gives her work a unique look that is appealing to her audience. "Most importantly I like to include a whimsical touch to provoke a smile in today's serious environment."

Working primarily with oil on wood and canvas, Michel creates stylized scenes of African life and elsewhere, complete with its sadness, joys and mystery.
