Ever since she was able to hold tools, Katie Sue Blevins has been creating art. Growing up in southern California, the tool was often a stick to draw in the sandy beaches near her home. Her mother, a painter, inspired her to create with whatever was at hand.
Katie is self-taught, and considers herself somewhat of an "outsider" artist. She has a deep and personal appreciation for the beauty that can be found in nature, and this beauty often serves as the foundation for her work. Love of nature is the main inspiration for the paintings of Ariane Martine. Born and raised in the countryside of Vancouver Island, Ariane experienced a wealth of natural beauty all around her, and started painting at the age of twelve. With great encouragement from her family and friends, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Parsons Paris School of Art and Design. Bringing home more than a degree from her stay in Paris, she also acquired a feeling for design and composition inspired by the spirit of the place itself.
