Leandra Ginevra earned her Graphic Design degree at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in downtown Los Angeles. She has spent decades designing screen printed garments for ladies and children; touching the lives of many customers ranging from mass market department stores to the Disney Parks around the world. Her passions for fashion, style and whimsy are easy to spot in her artworks.
Leandra says, “It’s my joy to create art that makes people feel good. If people feel happy looking at my art, then I know I’ve fulfilled my purpose here on this planet.”
The quintessential woman of the 80's was inspiration that allowed the worlds of fashion and illustration to convene in the early works for Malcolm Watson. A strong foundation in traditional art techniques liberated Malcolm's vision. An elegant sophisticated, but utterly contemporary icon of that era emerged into the 90's. The attention to detail, mastery of technique, proved to be a winning combination generating international poster and print sales. Editorial and cover art commissions followed with images gracing publications like Avant Garde, Vogue, Elle and Tatler.
After knowing from an early age that she was to be an artist, Marilyn Simandle began her career in 1969 as a graduate from San Jose State University. Since then, her watercolors have been featured in more than 60 one-woman shows, and have earned her numerous awards.
The inspiration for Marilyn's warm paintings is light, and all the contrast and depth it can create. She has had her own book published by North Light, and is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society. She works from her studio in Central California, where she lives with her artist husband. She says, "I want people to be uplifted. I want art to give people a good feeling!"
