Despite his lifelong interest in art, it was only in the early 1990's when Will Rafuse decided to pursue his interest in painting on a full time basis. When he began his professional painting career in Vancouver he did not know that his colorful work would soon become a permanent fixture in the North American art scene. Colleen Sarah is inspired by many things around her; the beauty of objects that are hand-made and imperfect, the patina of objects that have been worn by the passage of time, the contrast of realistically rendered images and abstract backgrounds, color and light and most importantly the beauty in nature. "I hope my art inspires the viewer and reminds them of the beauty that is around us. I love to experiment and try new techniques; my goal is to find a fresh approach to painting everyday objects."
