Claire Lerner was born in New York City. She attended the State University of New York where she received undergraduate and graduate degrees in Fine Arts. Claire has been a fine art photographer for over 20 years. Her work is exhibited nationally and internationally. Recently, Claire has returned to painting after a long hiatus. Her canvases reflect the same eye for subtlety and delicate color that make her photos so finely compelling. Her floral and still life arrangements are an insightful celebration of the beauty in both nature and paint and they enjoy an immediate visual accessibility. Her recent paintings have been exhibited at the Monterey Museum of Art. Claire passes on her love for the arts through teaching; she is currently the photography instructor at Santa Catalina School in Monterey, California. Claire lives in Santa Cruz, California.
