Heather Johnston's art is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the mysteries of life.
Heather uses digital, photographic and painterly applications to further construct her ideas and broaden the visual experience. She is drawn to both the mystery of the photographic language and the textural quality of a painterly surface. Heather works with medium format transparency film and high resolution 35mm digital cameras, using software applications to initially composite subjects into worlds of multiple photographs and textured layers.
