Surrounded by gentle rolling hills and the peace and quiet of nature gave the young artist time to reflect and absorb the beauty that surrounded her. Born and raised in Waterloo, Ontario, Karin was drawn to art at an early age.  Coming from a family of watercolour artists, including Irish artist Donald MacPherson, Karin feels very comfortable working in watercolour.  Guided by instinct, she uses bold brushstrokes and vibrant colours in an unconventional approach to the medium. Continually inspired by the artistic talents of her young sons, Karin draws her influences from wide range of sources, including traditional Asian art, minimal abstract art, and popular culture.  She is excited about the renewed popularity of watercolour today’s art world.
