Inspired by the rich, natural beauty of America's rural landscape, Susan Ogilvie infuses her art with a compelling sense of place through her masterful use of pastels. Her signature painting style is known for its scintillating color exploration and intensity of light.
"I want a sense of harmonious interaction with the land," she says about her artwork. Susan lives on the West Coast of the United States and is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America.
K. Tobin started painting at an early age inspired by her love of animals. She was quickly recognized for her drawing abilities and loved using pastels. She doesn't feel that she's ever arrived as an artists continually expanding her painting to other subject matter such as fashion and using other mediums such as acrylics.
After knowing from an early age that she was to be an artist, Marilyn Simandle began her career in 1969 as a graduate from San Jose State University. Since then, her watercolors have been featured in more than 60 one-woman shows, and have earned her numerous awards.
The inspiration for Marilyn's warm paintings is light, and all the contrast and depth it can create. She has had her own book published by North Light, and is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society. She works from her studio in Central California, where she lives with her artist husband. She says, "I want people to be uplifted. I want art to give people a good feeling!"
