Growing up on the coast of Florida, Linda spent many childhood hours doodling exotic bugs and flowers in the bright blues, yellows and pinks of sunshine and water.  Her world expanded at the age of six, when her great grandmother, Nana, introduced her to sewing.    Rather than creating doll clothes, Linda began cutting out the colorful squares of fabric from Nana’s sewing box to glue onto drawings of fat cats, girls with pig tails, and boys with fishing poles.  These were her first collages.  After years of formal training in art, Linda returned to painting and collaging in the whimsical, primitive doodle style of her youth.  These lively paintings...

Working with textures and thick application of paint over materials like burnt wood, brass, and aluminum, Paulo creates a balance between the painting as a realistic image, and as a composition. Ivo studied Mural Painting in the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria.  He has exhibited widely in museums and commercial galleries across Europe and North America and is the recipient of numerous prestigious grants and mural commissions. 

His paintings are meditative works, created through the layers of various colors and textures - like the layers of leaves on a woodland   floor, each leaf adding a new level to my understanding of nature.

Overall, Ivo’s goal is to somehow capture the fragility and beauty of natural forms and attempt to reclaim the experience of the outdoors in his Toronto studio.
