Paula Joerling, widely known for her creative use of unorthodox materials in her illustrations, has always been on the cutting edge. She is know for incorporating fabric, stitched paper and found objects into her art.  Forever in search of inspiration, she scours flea markets, antique stores and garage sales in search of goodies to work into her mixed media pieces. Victoria Gerken has traveled extensively throughout the world, from London to Delhi, Rome to Bali, studying art and culture. Living much of her life in Japan and Europe, Victoria has gained a strong appreciation of global art and craftsmanship. While in Japan, she completed her teaching certification in porcelain art, and then studied design in Lausanne, Switzerland. Victoria attributes her respect for the simplistic beauty of nature to Japanese influences, and enjoys reflecting such sensitivities in her work.
