A well-known jewelry designer, Melissa Pluch has never forgotten her passion for painting.Influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement and Art Nouveau era art, Melissa is drawn to the use of elegant line and shape taken from the natural world. "My works are influenced by objects of everyday life such as vases, bowls and furniture. I find the representation of those simple everyday sculptural elements very beautiful."

While living in Japan, Melissa began to admire the Japanese design sensibility noting that, "Its flowing delicacy and visual balance is what I am always trying to achieve."

Chris Mills lives and works in the English countryside near Leicestershire. He remembers being able to draw and paint at a very young age. Chris remembers a well know artist visiting his junior school who shared his creative experience and enthusiasm for painting and drawing. From that point Chris knew that he’d been truly bitten by the art-bug!

After attaining an Honors Degree in Art and English, Chris worked as a digital artist for many years. Chris finds the abstract expressionist genre a special place of creative escape, where texture, form and color predominate in the purest sense. 

The eclectic mix of artists that make up Z Studio were an unlikely alliance. Working within the same artistic circles, the group often found themselves at the same gallery openings or favorite stores. These chance meetings soon turned into planned get-togethers. An instant chemistry was formed between them and soon after Z Studio was born.
